Don't Even Let It Fool You

Did you know that it's physically painful when you lose someone? It's actually physically painful. It feels like someone's got ahold of your ribs and is slowly pulling your sternum apart. So it almost hurts to breathe, when it was so easy to breathe before. It feels like it'll never stop. But I think it slowly does. And then maybe one day you'll realize that your breathing comes naturally again. Not like it did with him, not like it's easier, like you're above the pull and push of gravity, at rest all the time. But naturally again, fighting the humidity and altitude, just like everyone else. Just not fighting yourself this time.
